Cookie Policy
Draft for review. Not yet in effect.
OnlineScheduling uses only essential cookies: the ones that sign you in and keep your session secure. We don't use analytics, advertising or other third-party cookies, and our fonts are served from our own site, so no other company sees your visit.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser's local storage to remember a few display settings. The law treats both the same way.
2. Cookies we set
All are first-party and set only on our own domains. Each is marked HttpOnly (page scripts can't read it), sent only over HTTPS, and restricted to our own site (SameSite=Lax).
| Name | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|

osched_ | Renews your session without signing in again | 7 days without use, 30 days at most |

osched_ | Remembers that this browser asked for an email sign-in code | 60 minutes |
osched_ | Remembers a verified email while you wait to be added to a schedule | 60 minutes |

Signing out deletes all of them.
3. Browser storage we use
| Name | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
osched. | Remembers display choices such as light or dark theme, schedule layout, and that you have seen the cookie notice | Until you clear it |
osched. | Stops the page from reloading in a loop after we release an update | Until you close the tab |
4. Why we don't ask for consent
The law (the EU and UK ePrivacy rules) lets a site use cookies without consent when they are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. Every cookie above is one of these, so we show a short notice instead of an Accept/Reject choice. If we ever add optional cookies, we will ask first and update this policy.
5. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block ours, you won't be able to sign in. Clearing your browser's site data also clears the display settings.
